The authors reflect on other texts they have written to tell us that if somewhere in the world there is hunger, the Eucharistic celebration is in some way incomplete. In the Eucharist Christ comes to the encounter together with the poor, the oppressed, the hungry of the earth, who through him look at us waiting for help, for justice. We cannot receive the Bread of Life fully if we do not give at the same time bread to keep alive those in need. When we share our joy, hope and love with others, especially the poor and the hungry, and if we search for the face of Jesus in them, truly we will know him as he is.
